The Tuna Challenge 2024 Prizes
There are fantastic prizes to be won at this year’s Tuna Challenge.
The Biggest Tuna will walk away with R132’000 worth of Suzuki 60 HP 4 Stroke power, and top boat of the competition landing an epic brand new 70 HP standard LS 4-stroke Yamaha outboard to the value of R125’000.
Tuna Challenge 2024 Dates and Times
The Tuna Challenge 2024 casts off at the Port St Francis Ski Boat and Yacht Club on the 25th of April. Registration will take place from 16h00 – 17h45, followed by the Skippers’ briefing at 18h00. The blessing of the fleet happens at 18h30 with the Auction of Boats at 19h00.
The best 3 days between the 26th and the 30th of April will be earmarked for fishing (weather permitting as per the weather committee). Fishing starts at 0630 each day, except if one of the fishing days fall on the 30th of April, the fishing starts at 06h00
Weigh-in:
Scales open for Weigh-in every day on the 3 fishing days for 90 minutes from 16h00 – 17h30 (26, 26, 28 & 29 April) and 15h00 – 16h30 on the 30th.
The event ends on the 30th of April with the overall prizegiving and dinner taking place at The Links at 19h00.
Tuna Challenge 2024 Info
Entries for the Tuna Challenge 2024 already closed on 8 April 2024.
Entry fees are R950 per member and R1’300 for non-members. Junior entries are R500 for members and R600 for non-member juniors.
Late Entry: Late entries are available at an additional R100 per entry, capped at 35 boats.
Dinner is included in the entry fee, with limited additional tickets available for guests for R300.
