MARLIN FISHING

All bill-, sail- and kingfish are for compulsory release. There’s a R30k fine if you don’t release. And any marlin (including short-bill spearfish) will net you 100 points on release.

Sailfish released at the OET Bill & Game Fish gets you 50 points. And, of course, the guys will be scoring on game fish catches, too.

GAME FISH SCORING

All game fish are allowed. And, although you’re asked to please try and release these, game fish can be weighed in too. Scoring: You get 1 point for every kg of game fish. But every angler is limited to only weighing max 2 game fish per fishing day.
