TUNA MASTERS – Hout Bay, Cape Town
21–25 APRIL 2024 – Exact Dates to Be Confirmed (Subject to Weather)
Hosted by the Atlantic Boat Club Hout Bay, The Tuna Masters Cape Town is a 4-day international fishing tournament encompassing all species of tuna, off Cape Town’s picturesque coast.
Known for some all-round awesome fishing and for hauling in some big tuna this competition is not to be missed. Plus if you’re from out of town, the local fishing charter community of Hout Bay have got you covered with packages that include boat charters and accommodation, geared to get you on the water and fishing at this comp.

DURBAN SKI-BOAT CLUB INTERCLUB – Durban
12 April 2024
Durban Ski-Boat Club is one of the largest Ski Boat Clubs in the country. Although primarily a fishing club, it is also a great place for families to spend the weekend.
Durban Ski-Boat Club hosts the exciting Interclub this April, and is the lead-up to the big annual ski-boat festival coming up a little later in April.
With Couta, Tuna, Dorado and a few Snoek spotted around, you’re bound to reel in something awesome.

Gordon’s Bay OFFSHORE CLASSIC 2024 – Gordon’s Bay
13th – 19th April 2024
Hosted by the Gordon’s Bay Boat Angling Club this year’s Offshore Classic might just be the biggest offshore event in Africa. With the Best 3 fishing days to be hand-picked and R500’000 in prizes, we’re in for some epic fishing.
With some big Yellow, Big Eye, Bluefin and Longfin Tuna up for grabs, as well as some other game fish species allowed, there’s something for everyone at the Gordon’s Bay Offshore Classic.

SADSAA GAME FISH NATIONALS
17 – 21 April 2024
Get ready for the next instalment of the SADSAA’s Game Fish Nationals. Nothing but open waters and pure competitive fishing as the best of the best gather for the nationals at the Umhlanga Ski Boat Club this year.
All fishing is done in accordance with IGFA and SADSAA rules, which are quite strict and precise, and only those anglers nominated by their provinces will participate.

SA’s best of the best in bottom fishing are making their way down to the Southernmost Angling Club in Africa for SADSAA’s 2024 bottom-fishing nationals. Join the Suidpunt Deep Sea Angling Club for this 6kg line class comp which promises to be a beautiful adventure.

THE RICHARDS BAY BONANZA
10–12 APRIL 2020
A unique fishing competition that’s open to almost all classes of fishing, from true deep sea to bay fishing, from bottom fish to game and even sailfish – not to mention jetty fishing for the young ones.
